About Us

We are a forum and meeting place for those in Holmfirth, the Holme Valley, and the surrounding areas with an interest in all aspects of photography.

Our meetings are informal, and we use them to learn from one another, to share ideas, and to appraise images created by our members, and by photographers of local and national acclaim. We enjoy an excellent programme of talks from visiting guest speakers, workshops on a wide range of photographic subjects, photographic competitions, and other activities aimed at motivating and encouraging each other to improve and develop our photographic skills. But most of all, our meetings are just good social occasions.

So, whether you are just beginning to explore photography or are already an experienced photographer, we are absolutely sure you will find our varied programme of real interest. You can be assured of a warm welcome too.

You are invited to join us at our regular series of weekly meetings on Monday evenings at 7.30pm at The North Light Gallery, Armitage Bridge, from September to April, and monthly from May to August. For more information of what it is we do, please see the “Syllabus” page for details of events.
