Resizing Instructions

Using Photoshop CS

1. Go to Image -> Image size
Check the Constrain proportions box
Change pixel dimension to:
1400 width (max) by 1050 high (max)
(smallest side should not exceed 1050 pixels - in portrait format the maximum height = 1050)
Alter Bicubic to Bicubic Sharper if reducing in size( this is not essential)
Click on O.K.

2. Go to Edit -> Convert to profile choose ‘sRGB’
click on O.K.

3. Go to File -> Save as
format = Jpeg
Filename = ‘whatever you choose’.jpg (Do not use original filename but see section on file naming below)
click on Save

4. Once you have all of your files resized and renamed as below then copy them either to a CD or memory stick / pocket drive with a USB connector. (Please do not submit images on camera cards or floppy discs etc.)

Using Photoshop Elements

1. Image -> Resize -> Image size
Check the Constrain proportions box
Change pixel dimension to 1400 by 1050 (max)
(smallest side should not exceed 1050 pixels)
Alter Bicubic to Bicubic Sharper if reducing in size (this is not essential)
Click on O.K.

2. Image -> Convert to colour profile -> Apply sRGB
Continue as '3' above
