The venue for this has to be confirmed, but we will try to get one of the side galleries at the North Light Gallery.

Members may submit up to five prints [no digital images], which can have been specially produced for the Exhibition i.e. they do NOT need to have been entered into a competition during season 2008/09. The following trophies will be awarded to images in the Exhibition:

Spavin Frame: for the best portrait
Lubran Bowl: for the best overall print
Sandford Cup: for the best landscape

It is intended that all trophies will be presented during the Exhibition, dated 27th April 2009, at which will cheese and wine will be included.

The 2008 exhibition opens on Saturday 10th May with the YPU Assembly and awards ceremony. YPU members will be able to view the exhibition galleries on the Assembly day.

The exhibition is hosted this year by Holmfirth Camera Club.

The venue is the Northlight Gallery, Armitage Bridge, Huddersfield.

The exhibition will include an additional gallery of work from the Royal Photographic Society Digital Imaging Group (Yorkshire).

The following trophies will be won alongside the relevant competitions as outlined in the syllabus:

Watthews Plate - to the winner of the Natural History competition.
Hadfield Tankard - to the winner of the Abstract and Colour competition.
Lockwood Bowl - to the winner of the Architecture competition.
Myers Trophy - to the winner of the Three Themed Print competition.

The shield for Photographer of the Year will be based on the scores [see competition rules] from all the competitions listed in the syllabus, excepting the Disposable Camera Image, Manipulated Image, Un-manipulated Image and Restricted Entry competitions.
